Qualifications to become Colorado notary public:
- You must be a resident of Colorado
- You must be at least 18 years old
- You must be able to read and write the English language
- You must be familiar with Colorado’s Notary law
- Not have been convicted of a misdemeanor involving dishonesty, as defined in CRS 12-55-102(1.4) during the last five years
- Never have had a felony conviction
- Never have had a Notary commission revoked
